Arizona Muse visits Goldfinger

 

“My journey began with materials. I realised I had no idea what these clothes were made of and who made them and what a material even was. So, that was the beginning of my learning journey. And I still, to this day, find materials so exciting because they tell such a story.”

We first met supermodel and environmental activist Arizona Muse in 2019, when we visited her house to fix a broken handle on her antique wardrobe. Committed to repairing rather than replacing, Arizona has developed a passion for sustainable living, extending into activism in recent years as she’s used her profile to raise awareness for environmental issues.

Since then, we've bonded over our aligned values surrounding environmental and social responsibility, and our shared passion for driving forward a sustainability revolution. 

Turning her attention more recently to the world of agriculture (Arizona and her family spent much of the first lockdown living on a Devon farm) Arizona has launched DIRT, a charity that works to regenerate soil through supporting the Biodynamic Farming movement. A holistic approach to managing the land, biodynamic farming treats the farm as an entire living ecosystem, and focuses on boosting biodiversity and replenishing soils.

So just how did she make the leap from fashion to farming?  We invited Arizona to Goldfinger to find out more.
