A message from Marie, our CEO and Co-Founder
A flurry of snowflakes have arrived at the Goldfinger showroom over the last few days. It has been incredible to see how these ceramic off-cuts, donated by Studio Peover, have been transformed into an array of wildly inventive artist-made Christmas decorations.
We're excited to be collaborating with so many talented artists to help feed our community during the pandemic. Their generosity in creating these beautiful objects, reminds us of the critical role the arts play in supporting engagement, social cohesion and wellbeing. In North Kensington where Goldfinger is based, there is significant inequality and disparity of wealth and opportunity. This is exacerbated by Covid-19 which has increased the number of people experiencing food poverty. This project shows the world that art and design can and should be planet and people positive. We invite you to go Christmas shopping for a great cause - we can’t wait for the bidding to start on these incredible lots!

Where does the money go?
100% of proceeds go to People’s Kitchen: To Your Door, a fantastic initiative hosted by Goldfinger that delivers home cooked meals and Christmas cheer to vulnerable and isolated residents in North Kensington.
How does this project reflect Goldfingers’ values?
The ceramic snowflakes started life as ceramic offcuts - donated by ceramic Studio Peover before being transformed by artists and creatives to be auctioned to raise funds for the People’s Kitchen. A sustainable project that is creative and directly benefits our local community - the Snowflake Kitchen auction encapsulates everything Goldfinger stands for.
