Equally fit for a study or bedroom, the Ayrton Chair is full of understated charm and confident simplicity.

A modern statement in any home, its minimal design marries two contrasting yet complementary wood types — rich elm and warm beech — and features thoughtful brass detailing. The timber is sustainably sourced from local trees that have been felled to make way for urban development.

The Ayrton collection started life as an exclusive edition circular design collection created from reclaimed teak donated by Imperial College London and sustainably sourced Douglas Fir. This edition is faithful to the original design in carefully chosen sustainable materials. It is named after Hertha Ayrton, the first female to publish a paper at the Institution of Electrical Engineering in London and a proud suffragette.
