In 2024, Michaelis Boyd designed an exceptional home inspired by the outstanding natural beauty surrounding its setting in Gloucestershire.

We were delighted to produce two bespoke tables for Leaf House in collaboration with Michaelis Boyd. Reflecting the home's unique biophilic aesthetic, these organic, flowing designs seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary techniques.⁠

Inspired by nature

A masterpiece of sustainability, Leaf House is inspired by the natural beauty of its Cotswolds setting. ⁠

We crafted a central coffee table, with elegantly bent tripod legs and a shallow, scalloped top, that draws inspiration from the delicate dance of the native water boatman insect gliding on pond water.

Treecycled timber

Each piece is made from Treecycled English oak, sustainably sourced from felled trees within the UK, and reflects the home’s unique biophilic aesthetic through organic, flowing forms.

Inspired by nature

Complementing the coffee table, a two-tier side table mirrors the gentle curvature of leaf blades, echoing the home’s design and enhancing the natural harmony of the space.

Working with Goldfinger allowed us to co-design a bespoke coffee table that pays homage to the striking architectural features of the home. Goldfinger delivered quality furniture with almost no impact on the environment.
