Panella
Our community café is run by Panella, a charming and welcoming Sicilian-Tuscan duo who serve up authentic and affordable Sicilian street food Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm: ranging from a myriad of pastas, meat, fish, arancine, salads, grilled vegetables and panelle, as well as exquisite coffee and Sicilian cakes. In exchange for subsidised rent, Panella donate their time to host our monthly People's Kitchen, our free community meal made of surplus food from local bakeries and markets that would have otherwise ended up in landfill. Responding to the pandemic
In April 2020, we quickly transformed our monthly community meal into a meal delivery service for vulnerable residents in our community, to tackle isolation and food shortages caused by the pandemic. This initiative is co-hosted by our in-house Sicilian-Tuscan duo Panella, and supported by our incredible volunteer team.

Every £5 gets a healthy hot meal delivered to someone who needs it. Donations also help us to run our hotline, make handwritten cards and run online community gatherings with cooking sessions and live music: our antidote to loneliness and isolation.
2000 meals and counting...
We deliver meals to vulnerable local residents every 3rd Sunday of the month. That’s over 2000 since the start of the pandemic, and we keep going thanks to our wonderful volunteers and your generous support.
