People's Kitchen: To Your Door
Sharing meals with our community
Since 2015, we’ve been sitting down with our local community once a month at our People’s Kitchen, where we share a delicious meal cooked up from surplus ingredients.
When the pandemic hit in April 2020, we quickly transformed our monthly community meal into a meal delivery service for vulnerable and isolated local residents, to tackle isolation and food shortages caused by the pandemic.
We now run the service on three Sundays per month, with our neighbours at Laylow cooking up meals twice a month from their restaurant, and the third Sunday hosted by Panella, our much-loved on-site café.
How you can make an impact
We need your support
Donate tasty meals
You can support a local resident by donating meal vouchers via our online shop. For each £5 donated, you will fund a wellbeing package for a vulnerable individual, including a restaurant-quality meal and additional treats to lift the spirits such as recipe cards and handmade gifts. For £25, you can feed a family of 5.

Having meals delivered to me now is very important because it keeps my morale up and makes me feel like I haven't been forgotten.

It helped me to be more understanding of what people’s personal circumstances were during the pandemic and how important community is to those who fall into the ‘vulnerable and at risk’ category.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend others getting involved and supporting where they can.
