The 2025 Golden Summary, Our 11th annual impact report

2025 has been a defining year for Goldfinger, one of continued growth, deeper collaborations, and an expanding social impact programme. This year is also significant as it marks the beginning of our new partnership with Another Country, who have acquired a majority stake in our business.

This partnership has been a pivotal moment in our journey, signalling an important new chapter for both businesses. By bringing together two like-minded organisations, we have strengthened our collective expertise to form one of the UK’s leading sustainability-led design studios — where ethical furniture production, bespoke design, and positive social impact align.

Together, we now offer expanded making capabilities, working with a trusted network of craftspeople, customisable furniture collections, bespoke commissions, and responsibly managed production across workshops in the UK and Portugal.

As two B Corp-certified businesses, we have spent much of 2025 embedding these principles more deeply into every part of our work. As a mission-led design studio at the forefront of sustainable design, our commitment remains clear: to create furniture that is not only beautifully crafted, but also planet-positive and socially impactful. We continue to champion carbon-conscious design, working closely with our clients and partners to drive meaningful change across the industry.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Over the past year, we have deepened relationships with long-standing customers while welcoming new ones, delivering bespoke projects that push the boundaries of sustainable craftsmanship — including collaborations with British Land, Muza Lab, Mason & Fifth and Tigg Coll. From design showcases to community-led initiatives, our work continues to demonstrate what is possible when creativity and purpose come together.

This spirit of impact is embodied in the Make Good Academy (formerly known as the Goldfinger Academy), the social impact arm of both Goldfinger and Another Country.

Under its former guise, the Make Good Academy has been creating opportunities and changing lives for over 10 years, equipping participants with valuable skills, confidence, and pathways into meaningful careers, while connecting craft, community and industry in a powerful way. As of 2026, we are expanding our work into nature recovery and material stewardship programmes, recognising that our responsibility extends beyond the objects we create to the landscapes they come from.

We believe that businesses striving to go beyond must remain rigorous, skilled and competitive but also collaborative. By working together, sharing knowledge, and investing in people and places, we believe we can build something more meaningful and more resilient for the future.

To our clients, partners, donors, and supporters — a heartfelt thank you. Your belief in our vision has helped us grow into the organisation we are today. Here’s to another year of impact, innovation, and designing a brighter future for people and the planet.
