Become a Goldfinger
Future Maker

Applications are open for our Future Makers traineeship, running from 23 August - 1 September 2023.

During this 7-day programme, trainees will be taught woodworking and traditional timber framing skills, gain career guidance, and get an introduction to sustainable design and making practices.

The traineeship is open to those aged 16 to 25, who are studying and/or living in RBKC.

The programme is well-suited to those interested in woodworking, design, construction and architecture, looking for the first steps towards employability or looking to pursue practical learning in this field.

We welcome those who are currently not in education, employment or training.

The programme will include:

  • building a quarter-scale replica of a traditional English timber frame house outdoors (outside Goldfinger's workshop at the back of Trellick Tower)
  • a site visit to one of our partners, including travel and lunch
  • career guidance with Goldfinger's designer-makers to learn about careers in woodworking and design
  • free lunch every day in our on-site Sicilian café

Please complete our application form to register your interest.

The deadline for applications is the 17th of July, 5pm and we will be confirming places by 20th July.
