Applications are currently closed for our Future Makers traineeship.
During these 3-5 day traineeships, participants are taught the fundamentals of woodworking, gain career guidance, and get an introduction to sustainable design and making practices.
The traineeship is free and open to those aged 16 to 25, who are studying and/or living in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The workshop is well-suited to entry-level learners developing an interest in woodworking and design, or simply unsure if this industry is for them, but would like to try it for themselves.
We welcome applications from those currently not in education, employment or training.
The programme includes:
- making your own wooden stool guided by an experienced maker
- pastoral support from Goldfinger Academy staff
- meeting and working alongside peers
- career guidance and signposting to follow up opportunities with Goldfinger and partners
