Become a Goldfinger Future Maker

Applications are open for our Future Makers short course, running from 10th - 11th July 2024.

During this 2-day short course, trainees will be taught the fundamentals of woodworking, gain career guidance, and get an introduction to sustainable design and making practices.

The traineeship is free and open to those aged 16 to 30, who are studying and/or living in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The workshop is well-suited to entry-level learners developing an interest in woodworking and design, or simply unsure if this industry is for them, but would like to try it for themselves.

We welcome applications from those currently not in education, employment or training.

The programme includes:

  • making an outdoor seat guided by an experienced maker
  • pastoral support from Goldfinger Academy staff
  • meeting and working alongside peers
  • 1:1 career guidance and signposting to follow up opportunities with Goldfinger and partners
